Cosalda Dance Company
"Cool Salsa Dancers" Having been inspired by attending the 2002 L.A. Congress Cosalda Dance Company was started in June of 2002.
Making their debut at the Crystal Salsa Showcase in Houston Texas on June 28th 2002. Cosalda was well received in the Salsa community. It’s been nonstop ever since. Cosalda has done a number of performances in and around the Houston area. In September Cosalda was asked to host a "Salsa for Kids" workshop and dance. Proceeds went to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
Though still quite young Cosalda boasts a wealth of talent in a wide variety of dance styles. Many of our members are certified instructors of dance.
Cosalda performs their show "!Ritmo Latino!" at a number of different nightclubs in Houston. We also started a "Cosalda Kids" performance group. Where the Kids will be highlighted in our show.
Cosalda was featured on the new television show "En Ruta" Jan. 15th, 2003.
Since the start of Cosalda Dance Company it has been our goal to attend and perform at the 2003 L.A. Congress. On January the 15th we received news that Cosalda has been selected.
In August 2004 "Angel" was awarded for her contribution to Salsa in Houston at the Houston Salsa Congress.
Combining different styles and rhythms makes this group work. As well as a strong love and respect for each other.
